On Thanksgiving, I had an uninvited house guest. Guess who? ED. He was there first thing in the morning as the day began. I wanted to slam the door in his face and tell Him to

leave, but he wouldn’t leave. He kept whispering in my ear that it was ok to not eat all day because we were having Thanksgiving dinner at 4:00pm and I could eat as much as I wanted then. Luckily, my husband made breakfast for the family, so I ate. I do better when someone makes the food and puts it in front on me. I also made myself eat lunch, so ED wasn’t too happy.

By the time dinner was ready, ED was getting louder and louder. He kept telling me to eat so much. He was telling me it was just one meal so I could eat until I felt sick. He kept telling me that Thanksgiving is once a year, so enjoy it. However, his idea of enjoying food, is eating so much you feel sick. I was getting so tired of ED at that point. I have to admit that I did listen to him some. I did eat more than I should have because I was feeling overfull. I still struggle with stopping when full. However, I told ED to leave me alone and I controlled myself where I stopped despite the voice. Once dessert came, ED was nowhere to be found. I was so nice to have a dessert without ED sitting right next to me. It took the whole day, but ED finally left and I worked hard to Kick ED’s Butt. 🐷🦃
