ED is a sweet, talking liar

I don’t know how ED came about as a big, fat pig. One day I was told to draw my eating disorder and I drew a pig. I believe that eating disorders are so individualized to the person. I also believe that some people do not have a separate identity for their eating disorder. Everyone is different. I just happen to have a pig named ED.

ED, for years, has sweet talked me and told me how much he loved me. He has said that he is my best friend and that he will always be there for me. When I am stressed, the eating disorder is always there and I want to binge. In the same breathe, he always tells me I’m fat, that I need to lose weight and that I need to keep him. He says that I will never have any other friends but him because he is the only one that can help me lose the weight. That is

why I have kept him for 30 years. ED lies. ED wants you to believe that need you need him, but you don’t. ED is a sweet, talking liar and it is time to Kick ED’s Butt. 🐷
